Earl Manigault was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and raised in Harlem, New York. He grew up playing basketball and practiced constantly. Manigault set the NYC junior high school record by scoring 57 points in a game in the late 1950s. While attending Benjamin Franklin High School, Manigault's life took a fateful turn when he began associating with the wrong crowd. He started using drugs and skipping classes. He was the star of his high school team and seemed destined for greatness in the National Basketball Association. Manigault was eventually kicked out of school after being caught smoking marijuana. A tribute to the Greatest Player to ever play the game of Basketball. In case you all are wondering about my opinion on the Kobe vs. MJ thing, here it is. Kobe Bryant is my favorite player and, in my opinion, is the best player in the NBA right now. He and Jordan have equal skill sets. The both play D, have a sweet jumper, attack the basket, dish the ball and equal clutch abilites. Jordan, however is the best player to ever play becasue of what he has accomplished in his career and how he brought the game to life. However, Kobe Bryant still has about 7 or so years left to play and I do think he will surpass Michael Jordan as being the greatest NBA player of all time.
